Sherbet (aka Highway or The Sherbs) was one of the most prominent and successful Australian rock bands of the 1970s. 
The 'classic line-up' of Daryl Braithwaite on vocals, Tony Mitchell on bass guitar, Garth Porter on keyboards, Alan Sandow on drums, and Clive Shakespeare on guitar provided their teen-oriented pop style.

Howzat is an album by the Australian band Sherbet released in 1976. It spent two weeks at number one on the Australian albums chart in 1976.
At the Australian 1976 King of Pop Awards the album won Most Popular Australian Album.
The kaleidoscopic cover artwork of Sherbet's 'Howzat' album is very well designed and so is the music, a mix of mostly guitar/keyboards-driven melodic pop-rock and orchestrated blue-eyed soul (except for the last two or three tracks which somehow break the spell).

They had an amazing array of styles and songs. Key tracks here are the first pretty much the first 4 songs (the other songs are good too but these are the standouts). 
This Album & the "Howzat" single were #1 here in 1976, #5 in the UK and I believe #60 in the US - but then US success alluded a lot of Australia groups/artists of the time (I'm looking at you Cold Chisel!). "Lady of the Night" is an awesome ballad, "Gimme Love" is a great rock song and "If I Had My Way" is a building epic. 
This album is just the tip of the iceberg for Sherbet - they have loads of other amazing songs.
