The Real Roxanne - The Real Roxanne (LP) (1988) - €10,00

Adelaida Martinez (born January 11, 1967), better known by her stage name the Real Roxanne, is an American female hip hop MC who recorded for Select Records.
Martinez was born in Brooklyn, New York. In the 1980s she, Roxanne Shante, and others were engaged in the Roxanne Wars, a series of answer records inspired by UTFO's hit song "Roxanne, Roxanne", being the officially sanctioned artist in response to all of the answer records.

It took her until 1988 to release an album, by which time the Roxanne fad had run its course; still, the self-titled release packed a wallop thanks to producers Jam Master Jay, Howie Tee, and Full Force, plus the Real Roxanne's own forceful, sassy personality

Roxanne Shanté's the real Roxanne. This one's the real Lisa Lisa--smart, fast-talking, Puerto Rican and proud, up on the get down. By working her fine brown frame off without ever taking chance one, she verifies rap's pop scope, from Hurby Luv Bug's cute stuff to Howie Tee's dense samples.
Also scores two out of three half-sung slow ones, including a day-in-the-life-of-a-rapper-and-aren't-you-jealous? that can only be described as a modest boast.
Would I like all this as much if a guy did it? Of course not.
