Luisa Fernandez (born 14 August, 1961) is a Spanish-born, Germany based pop singer. She is perhaps best known for her hit single, "Lay Love on You" from 1978. 

Her talent was officially discovered in a contest at the age of 15. A deal with Warner Brothers and her first single hits in the disco era in Europe followed. 
After meeting her future husband, they formed the duo "Luisa Fernandez and Peter Kent" and had several European pop hits in Spanish, amongst them Solo por ti, that can be heard on European radio stations even today.
The Spanish Luisa Fernandez successfully released the single "Lay Love On You" in 1977, which has a very special rhythm. This rhythm quickly became her trademark: it was found in 1978 on her album "Disco Darling" which she recorded in Hamburg, Germany.
The piece that opens this lp is a new version of "Granada", a standard dating from 1932. Note that in 1977, the Spanish duo 'Baccara', produced in Germany, had already produced a disco version of this classic.
But the flagship title of the "Disco Darling" lp is "Give Love A Second Chance", which is engraved as a single.
In 1979, Luisa unveils het 2nd album "Spanish Dancer", her new opus co-written, co-arranged and produced by David Parker. The success of this album is mixed. We nevertheless discover this good "Funky Dancer" which, contrary to what one might think, is not funky but very disco. Luisa's voice during the chorus strangely resembles that of another singer produced at the same time in Germany: Sandra Lauer of the disco group 'Arabesque'.
The album spawned three singles: "We All Love You Superman", "New York Dance" and "Spanish Dancer" all released in 1979.

Still for 1979, Luisa recorded a separate single, "Dead End Street", whose intro was pumped on that of the title "Rasputin" from 'Boney M'. But the sequel turns out to be rather disappointing.
Several other singles will be there during the 80's: thus, his "Love Me Tonight" from 1980 will still surf on disco.
