Soundtrack - Ghostbusters (Lp) (1984) - €10,00

Ghostbusters: Original Soundtrack Album is the soundtrack album for the 1984 film of the same name, released by Arista Records on June 8, 1984.
The soundtrack includes the Billboard Hot 100 number one hit "Ghostbusters", written and performed by Ray Parker Jr.

A good collection of 80s songs and some of the score. Of course there is the classic Ray Parker Jr. song, plus an instrumental version of it which I like.
My favorites are Magic, Savin' the Day, and Hot Night. Several of the songs remind you of scenes in the movie.
Like hearing the Thompson Twins song, and thinking of the Ghostbusters eating Chinese food. Yep.
The "Ghostbusters" main theme was probably one of the most popular movie themes in the 80s. But there are also some underrated themes in there: The Thompson Twins' "In the name of love", Laura Branigan's "Hot night", Mick Smiley's "Magic", and so on. The orchestral themes by Elmer Benrstein are also great, specially "Dana's theme", although they feel a little out of place among the "pop" themes.   The album takes you back to 1984, too.
